Holy Family Early Childhood Center

Assistant Director

Position Available: Part-Time or Full-Time

Holy Family Early Childhood Center is seeking a caring, dependable, and organized Assistant Director to support the daily operations of our Early Childhood Center and work closely with the Director, teachers, children, and families.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Director with daily ECC operations and classroom oversight

  • Support and coach teachers with classroom management, routines, transitions, and student engagement

  • Monitor classrooms to ensure appropriate supervision, safety, and quality of care

  • Assist with staffing, scheduling, and classroom coverage

  • Support enrollment, registration, student records, and family communication

  • Respond professionally to parent questions and concerns

  • Assist with DCF compliance and accreditation requirements

  • Support staff training, onboarding, and professional development

  • Assist with classroom observations, assessments, and documentation

  • Address classroom and staff concerns in a professional and supportive manner

  • Step into classrooms and assist with daily operations as needed

  • Participate in school events, meetings, and other administrative responsibilities

  • Support and uphold the Catholic mission and values of Holy Family Catholic School

Qualifications

  • Experience working in an early childhood setting

  • Leadership, supervisory, or administrative experience preferred

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred

  • Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices

  • Familiarity with Florida DCF requirements and early childhood regulations

  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Warm, patient, dependable, professional, and team-oriented

  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and work collaboratively

  • Must meet Florida DCF background screening and employment requirements

  • Commitment to supporting the Catholic mission of Holy Family Catholic School
