Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach 

St. Petersburg Catholic High School (SPC) is seeking a passionate, reliable, and energetic Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach to support the continued growth of our beach volleyball program. This individual will assist in developing student-athletes both athletically and spiritually while helping create a competitive, positive, and faith-centered team culture.

Position Overview

The Assistant Beach Volleyball Coach works closely with the Head Coach to support all aspects of the program, including practices, matches, and player development. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about teaching the game, building relationships, and contributing to a strong team environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and leading daily practices and match preparation

• Provide instruction and skill development for student-athletes

• Support in-game coaching and match management

• Help foster a positive, disciplined, and Christ-centered team culture

• Promote sportsmanship, teamwork, and accountability

• Supervise student-athletes during practices, matches, and travel

• Assist with equipment management and setup/breakdown

• Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and administration

• Ensure compliance with FHSAA and school policies

Program Support Expectations

• Assist in building and sustaining a competitive beach volleyball program

• Support efforts to promote the program within the school and community

• Encourage athlete participation and retention

• Help facilitate offseason development opportunities when applicable

• Encourage involvement in club and beach volleyball to enhance skill growth

Qualifications

• Previous playing or coaching experience in volleyball (beach preferred)

• Strong understanding of fundamental volleyball skills and strategies

• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow as a coach

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Ability to mentor and positively influence high school student-athletes

• Commitment to the mission and values of St. Petersburg Catholic High School

• Must pass a Level II background screening
