St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking a full-time Dean of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a new position for the school that will report directly to the Assistant Principal for Learning and Achievement.
The Dean of Curriculum, Instruction and Assessment responsibilities will primarily focus on four key areas:
1. Curriculum and Instruction
Supporting academic departments
Overseeing unit plans and assessment alignment
Conducting gradebook reviews
Supporting teachers in instructional design and delivery
Designing and leading PLCs in collaboration with the Instructional Coach
2. Teacher Development, Support, and Professional Growth
Coordinating teacher observations
Providing actionable instructional feedback
Overseeing and planning professional development
Promoting meaningful, ongoing growth opportunities for faculty
3. Assessment, Data, and Academic Integrity
Overseeing the academic integrity process
Oversight of all standardized testing
Reviewing and analyzing school-wide assessment data
Managing the exam exemption policy and process
4. Operational and Supervision Support
Coordinating substitute coverage and classroom supervision
Serving as a visible, supportive presence for teachers and students
Providing classroom coverage or instructional support when needed
Required Qualifications:
A master's degree in education with either a focus on curriculum or educational leadership.
Florida Department of Education Certification in a high school subject area, Educational Leadership, or statement of eligibility.
Prefer previous teaching experience at the high school level, including AP and/or PLTW experience.
Successful completion of a Level II Background Screening and Safe Environment training.
