Administrative Assistant

Department: Elementary/Middle Education
Location: Pinellas Park, FL

Sacred Heart Catholic School is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of the school office. This position requires a highly organized, detail-oriented individual who can effectively manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced school environment. The ideal candidate is professional, adaptable, collaborative, and bilingual.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and clerical support to the school administration and front office
  • Manage multiple tasks efficiently while prioritizing responsibilities appropriately
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with students, parents, faculty, staff, and visitors
  • Maintain accurate records and handle confidential information with discretion
  • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, and general office operations
  • Support a positive school culture through teamwork, problem-solving, and service
  • Respond constructively to feedback and direction from supervisors
  • Adapt to changing needs and responsibilities throughout the school day

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Adobe Acrobat, web-based tools, basic graphic design platforms (Canva), and ability to learn new platforms as needed.
  • Presents a professional image in speech, dress, and demeanor
  • Demonstrates creativity, initiative, and a solution-oriented mindset
  • Works collaboratively and actively promotes teamwork
  • Self-motivated with the ability to plan and execute tasks independently
  • Bilingual skills preferred

Employment Requirements:

  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of an FBI Level II background screening and Safe Environment Training, in accordance with diocesan and school policies.
