St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Football - Offensive Line Coach to support the development of our football program. The ideal candidate will be a positive role model, strong communicator, and committed to teaching fundamentals, sportsmanship, and the values of the Baron community.
This position reports directly to the Head Football Coach and Athletic Director.
This position would ideally be connected to a full-time teaching position at the school, in order to be considered as a teacher at St. Petersburg Catholic High School, an individual must be certified, or eligible to be certified, by the Florida Department of Education. Assist with planning, organizing, and running daily practices.
Support the instruction of football techniques, strength training, and conditioning.
Promote a safe, competitive, and positive training environment.
Attend all practices, games, and team events throughout the season.
Provide mentorship, encouragement, and accountability for student-athletes.
Help evaluate student-athlete progress and development.
Maintain equipment and practice spaces in a clean and organized manner.
Communicate effectively with the Head Coach, Athletic Director, athletes, and parents.
Assist with travel logistics, recruiting (as student-athletes prepare for college), scheduling, and game-day operations.
Uphold school values, athletic department policies, and FHSAA rules.
Required:
Prior football (Offensive Line) experience as an athlete or coach.
Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
Commitment to academic success, character development, and sportsmanship.
Ability to pass required background checks and complete Safe Environment Training (Diocese of St. Petersburg).
Preferred:
Previous coaching experience at the high school or college level.
CPR/First Aid certification.
Familiarity with FHSAA regulations.
