Position Overview:

St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking a passionate and committed individual to serve as the Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach. This individual will be responsible for the development of student-athletes through skill instruction, character development, and competitive play in alignment with the school’s mission and Catholic values.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and run organized practices focused on skill development, team strategy, and personal growth.

• Lead the JV team during matches, both home and away, and support the varsity program when appropriate.

• Collaborate with the Varsity Head Coach to maintain program consistency, including shared drills, team expectations, and player development plans.

• Provide mentorship and positive role modeling to student-athletes on and off the court.

• Communicate effectively with players, parents, and school staff regarding schedules, expectations, and team updates.

• Ensure adherence to FHSAA regulations, school athletic policies, and safety protocols.

• Maintain equipment and inventory in collaboration with the Athletic Department.

• Uphold and promote the mission, values, and spirit of St. Petersburg Catholic High School.

Qualifications:

• Prior coaching or competitive volleyball experience preferred.

• Strong leadership and communication skills.

• Demonstrated ability to teach and motivate high school athletes.

• Must complete required background checks and FHSAA certifications prior to employment.

• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

• Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
