Sacred Heart is seeking a passionate Middle School Social Studies Teacher to join our team and inspire students in grades six through eight. This position also includes additional school duties during the school day, which may involve student supervision, student activity moderation, and cross curricular support in other grade levels, depending on the candidate’s strengths and school needs.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging social studies lessons aligned with curriculum standards and Catholic values.

Foster a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, discussion, and respect for diverse perspectives.

Integrate faith-based principles into teaching and classroom culture.

Assess student progress and provide meaningful feedback to support growth.

Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and parents to ensure student success.

Take on additional school responsibilities such as lunch/recess duty, club moderation, or assisting with school events.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Education, History, or a related field

Florida Teaching certification

Experience working with middle school students preferred.

Strong classroom management skills and a commitment to student success.

Practicing Catholic preferred; willingness to support the school’s Catholic mission required.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Level 2 background screening.
