Job Description – Middle School ELA Teacher

Nativity Catholic School is seeking a full-time Middle School (6th-8th) ELA Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. We desire a self-motivated and detail-oriented educator who will prepare and inspire our students to achieve their God-given potential. Our ideal candidate has experience cultivating relationships with students and families, delivering rigorous instruction, and infusing technology to increase student engagement and achievement. Experience with NWEA MAP Growth assessments and Positive Behavior Support protocols are a plus. Candidates must possess a valid Florida Teaching Certificate in ELA Grades 6-12 or have the necessary education and experience to acquire certification upon employment. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are expected.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field
• Valid FLDOE Elementary Teaching Certification or FLDOE Official Statement of Eligibility
• Successful completion of a Level 2 background screening

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Classroom teaching experience
• Master’s degree or higher in education or related field
• Reading and Gifted endorsement
