St. Petersburg Catholic High School is seeking applicants for a full-time AP Biology and Project :Lead the Way Biomedical Science Teacher for the 2024-2025 school year.

We are seeking an experienced AP Biology and PLTW Biomedical Science teacher, with a history of success in AP classes as well as preferred experience in PLTW courses.  Certification in the PLTW Biomedical Science courses is a plus.  This position provides an opportunity to work with students that are highly motivated and extremely talented, many looking towards a career in the health sciences field. Experience and familiarity with Understanding by Design, block instruction, and integration of classroom technology, including using student technology to facilitate instruction and assessment is a plus.

Required Qualifications:

1. A four year degree in science from an accredited college or university; master's degree preferred.
2. Florida Department of Education Certification in the applicable subject area or statement of eligibility.
3. Previous teaching experience at the high school level.
4. Preference for previous AP and Project Lead the Way experience. 
5. Pass a Level II Background Screening as well as complete Safe Environment training.
