Art Teacher

Espiritu Santo Catholic School

Teaching Art

To create challenging, educational art curriculum for students, Pre-K through 8th grade.

Developing lessons that expose students to various art techniques and materials, in alignment with diocesan curriculum framework.

This includes:

  • Plan, develop, and implement art history lessons to meet curriculum goals
  • Introduce art principles and techniques
  • Support and promote student creativity
  • Lead classes with a combination of lesson plans and hands-on teaching
  • Provide students guidance and feedback
  • Promote self-expression and build confidence
  • Establish a creative setting while maintaining a productive learning environment
  • Stay up to date with new art techniques and trends and adopt them for students at all levels
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to introduce art across curriculum
  • Assess and evaluate student artwork
  • Contribute art skills to enhance school events and activities
  • Maintain accurate records of students’ progress and grades
  • Order and maintain the art supply inventory needed to successfully fulfill lesson plans.
  • Make use of online courses, videos, and art conventions to learn and grow as a teacher.

This is an hourly, part-time position with the possibility of moving to full time for the qualified candidate.
