Holy Family ECC Teacher or Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Teacher to join our family at Holy Family ECC. The Assistant Teacher will work collaboratively with the lead teacher or autonomously to provide a nurturing and educational environment for our young learners. This position will assist with the implementation of age-appropriate activities, lesson plans, and daily routines while ensuring the safety and well-being of the children in our care.

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Prefer Previous experience working with young children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting
- Familiarity with developmentally appropriate practices in early childhood education
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff members
- Ability to work as part of a team and follow directions.
- Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing a positive learning environment for children

Responsibilities:
- Assist the lead teacher in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities and lesson plans that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Support the lead teacher in maintaining a safe, clean, and organized classroom environment
- Assist with daily routines, including mealtime, naptime, toileting, and transitions
- Observe and document children's behavior, progress, and development using appropriate assessment tools
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere where each child feels valued and supported
- Collaborate with the lead teacher and other staff members to ensure effective communication and coordination
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills in early childhood education

Requirements:
- Must pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, 40 clock hrs. (or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe)
- Physical ability to interact with children, including bending, stooping, and lifting
